Stay Up To Date

February @ Smart Girls

If you haven’t already heard, our 6th Annual Galentine’s Party is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!

This year’s theme is 🎨 Paint, Sip & Shop. We had 20 painting spots total, but spots are currently full, but don’t worry—there are still two fun ways to join us:

✨ Get on the waitlist in case a painting spot opens up
✨ Come sip, shop, snack, and celebrate with us—no painting required!

No matter how you join us, you’ll still enjoy all the Galentine’s fun, cozy vibes, and special surprises we have planned 💕
We’d absolutely love to see you there!

Introducing… SMARTgirls Too 💖
(And yes, we think the name is pretty fun, too 😉)

SMARTgirls Too will be a separate online shopping experience with inventory you won’t see in the store. And the best part? We officially have a launch date!

📅 Mark your calendar:
Wednesday, March 4th

A few things to know as we get closer:
✨ Local shoppers can have online items brought into the store to try on and purchase
✨ Items will be listed online and on eBay—so if you love it, don’t wait
✨ You’ll find the same styles you love at SMARTgirls, plus a few extras we don’t currently carry in-store

This is a fun new addition to our already-loved store, and we can’t wait to take this next step with you 💖

Charity of the Month!!

💗 Giving Back This Month: Susan G. Komen 3-Day Challenge

February is the month of love, and this month we’re proud to support three incredible womenLaura Norman, Stephanie Fricke, and Tara Fort—as they prepare to take on the Susan G. Komen® 3-Day Challenge.

The Susan G. Komen® organization is the world’s largest breast cancer nonprofit, funding life-saving research and providing real-time support to those facing the disease. The 3-Day Challenge is a powerful weekend of hope—honoring lives lost, celebrating survivors, and helping bring care and resources to women who need it most.

These three friends will walk 30–60 miles over three days in Boston in August 2026—each step taken in honor of loved ones, in support of survivors, and in the fight to end breast cancer forever.

💗 Want to learn more or say hello?
Laura, Stephanie, and Tara will be at SMARTgirls on Wednesday, February 4th and Wednesday, February 11th, sharing more about the Komen 3-Day Challenge and how you can support this meaningful cause.

Chances are, breast cancer has touched someone you love. Supporting this mission is a powerful way to honor them—and help save lives.

LAURA NORMAN BIO:
I am taking on the 3-Day Komen Challenge because I know that these Walks have a positive impact on breast cancer treatment. I feel indebted to programs like the Komen 3-Day walks where mostly women hit the bricks for 60 miles in 3 days. In 2023, I did my first 3-Day in Denver, because my friends nudged me. After I signed up, I coincidentally started down the path of my own Stage 1 breast cancer journey with treatments and procedures that ended in 2024. But that year I did my 2 nd 3-Day in Boston. It was harder that time, but I just put one foot in front of the other. In 2025, I took a year off – I wanted a break from all things breast cancer. It is an all-consuming, anxiety-producing experience. That feeling has passed, and now I say Put Me In Coach, I’m Ready to Play! I will be walking 60 miles in August 2026 in Boston to raise money and awareness that will save lives, expand community programs, improve access to patient care and fuel groundbreaking research, therapies and treatment.  And, by the way, I am breast cancer clear per the tests and medical professionals. Woo hoo! Thank you for your positive thoughts and any donations you may choose to make. Laura Norman (Prescott AZ resident 1995-2019, now residing in Albuquerque)

STEPHANIE FRICKE BIO:
Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk Boston 2026. I am Stephanie Fricke....this will be my 5th 3 Day
walk. My first walk (years ago) was to honor our Maid of Honor who had just completed
treatment and is now a 27-year survivor. Thru that walk I was honored to meet and walk with some incredible people. Tara Fort was and still is my 3 Day walking partner. We completed a few more walks in Phoenix over the following years.  Fast forward to 2023 and we walked in Denver with our friend Laura Norman who had been recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She was getting ready to start treatment and now in 2026 she will be walking with us as a survivor. The 3 of us have been friends for years and have seen each other thru a variety of life challenges. In Boston we will walk together to honor our friends and families who have been affected by cancer.

TARA FORT BIO:
I will be joining hundreds of walkers in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day in Boston. I am a 33-year Prescott resident and have participated in the 3-Day event twice in Phoenix in 2004 and 2006, once in Denver in 2023 and twice in Boston in 2024 and 2025. Over those years, I have individually raised over $20,000, and have done so in honor of my friend Laura who walked with me in 2023 and 2024 and BEAT THE FIGHT (YESSSS!!!) and in memory of my friends Nancy, Michelle, and Jo. I have again committed to raise a minimum of $2500 in donations and will walk 30-60 miles over three days. The event attracts thousands of walkers, crew members, volunteers, and spectators.
